The History and Stories analysis was focused on the historical changes of Cumnock in specific areaswhich would enlighten people about how and why the town has become what it is today. Theseidentified focus areas which were marked across key periods were the figure ground plan, thetransportation networks, the economic activities with specific reference to mining (its maineconomy), housing, public and social facilities, as well as its relation to its surrounding towns. Inaddition, interviews were also conducted with the local Cumnock residents to gain valuable insighton the life of the community back then.
