Architecture and urban design students from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow have moved to the community they have been asked to serve. The experiment will last one year and involves a group of 35 students and tutors who set up office in the once famous Barras market in the East end of the city. The journey is taking them through first hand experience of the life, struggles and dreams of local traders and residents, and will hopefully lead the whole group to develop strategic, but sensitive and sustainable visions and projects for the regeneration of a crucial but also most severely deprived areas in Glasgow.  Sponsors of the initiative are keen on keeping us involved for the years to come, and this site is under discussion for an event in IAPS 2012.
